That's a wrap!

My Etsy shop is currently out of business. I have decided to exclusively sell patterns for the time being. Reasons? I couldn't figure out Etsy; I wasn't looking forward to shipping anything; Ravelry is so much more fun; the Etsy box on my blog took up WAY too much room; and patterns are more fun to write and sell! I do intend to sell some of my actual items at a craft fair or market this summer/fall/winter, but on the Internet I would rather encourage others to make pretty and useful things for themselves. Crocheting/knitting is so rewarding. So there you have it! Maybe someday I will try Etsy again, but right now it involves too much expense and not enough results.

  1. I just came across your site from a mention on the Crochet Liberation Front blog. I'm with you on not being able to figure out Etsy. I had an Etsy shop for a short while, selling crochet patterns. I thought they did a good job of helping me through the process, but when I found out that I was expected to include sales tax on my sales, and then that turned into needing a business license for tax purposes, I said forget it!

BTW, I loved the necklace you made, featured at CLF: http://www.crochetliberationfront.com/2011/04/this-necklace-sets-my-picot-free/.
