Deep Plum Earrings

I spent the weekend visiting my cousin, who is also one of my best friends. We ate banana ice-cream, listened to The Paper Kites, went to see Star Trek Into Darkness, and had some really wonderful talks. 

She was away for a few hours one day, so I took the opportunity to do some crocheting and creating. 

This is what I came up with:

I adore the deep purple color combined with the bright silver, and the fine-gauge motifs.
