Snail Mail and Photos

I've been printing photos lately.

And mailing them.

Photos are important.  The tangible and the visible are important too, which is why I value snail mail. It only takes a little bit of time to sit down and scribble something on a piece of paper, slip it in an envelope and put it in the mailbox. It may take more time than a text or an email or a Facebook message, but it means a whole lot more. It's time well-spent, too. Honestly, if we're saving so much time with these instant ways of getting in touch - what are we saving that time for? Face-to-face interaction? Not likely.

Write a letter to someone. Print a pretty photo and slip it in the envelope. Stick a stamp on it, seal it and slip it into the mailbox. I challenge you to do this at some point this week.
