Navy Post Earrings DIY


Crochet your own flower earrings with this easy DIY! Some crochet experience is necessary, but these are easy and quick. 

You will need:
US 1.6mm steel crochet hook
Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet Cotton Size 10 in Navy
Needle for weaving in ends
Gloss sealant (mine is for scrapbooking)
Paintbrush
Cardboard for the sealing/gluing process
Stud earring bases (you can buy these at any craft store with a jewelry section)
Tacky glue


With your crochet hook and the thread, chain 2. 



Work 6 single crochet stitches in the second chain from hook. Join with slip stitch to first single crochet.


Chain 1, work single crochet in same stitch, chain 3, *work single crochet in next stitch, chain 3, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch in first single crochet.



Slip stitch into next chain 3 space, chain 1, (single crochet in same space, chain 1) twice, single crochet in same space, *single crochet in next space, (chain 1, single crochet in same space) twice, repeat from * around, join with slip stitch in first single crochet. Fasten off.


Weave in the ends with the needle. Lay out on cardboard and paint the motifs with the gloss sealant.


Allow to dry completely. Next, glue motifs to the stud earrings using the tacky glue. (Hot glue is also an option.)


And you're done!
