What If?

I may or may not have just successfully completed an experiment involving this:

What would you all think if I opened some sort of shop and started selling my things? It's been a dream of mine to actually sell the items I make, not just the patterns. Any advice? I want to look into other options besides Etsy - I've tried it before and it's difficult to navigate and advertise. Etsy has grown so much since it first started, and it can be discouraging to a seller just starting out. But I still want to sell my pretty things. 

I may just try it someday. Please comment with any advice or suggestions you may have! I need all the help I can get!

    I started by offering my designs for shop window dressing. This has led to quite a few commissions. We'd all like to be global, but think local. Small steps but journeys are completed.
